Multi-Camera Views are Better

Spring is Here. Is Your Swing Ready?

My Facebook reels have been flooded recently with a ton of golf instruction videos and promotions. Seems like a pro-like swing all boils down to where my “trailing elbow” is at impact. Who knew? But, is that correct for me?

Over the years I’ve struggled to find a better swing. I’ve subscribed to the latest magazines, bought new clubs and gadgets, and read lots of books by golf teaching professionals. One of the books I read early on was by Dave Peltz – Putt Like the Pros. It changed my primary putting focus from direction to distance. David passed away recently, but his approach to using data to improve golf instruction lives on. Why do some things become classics while others get tossed into the closet?

It turns out that one size doesn’t fit all. We’re not created equally. Our arms are different sizes, our legs are different lengths, our feet are wider, and many others. So, it stands to reason that what works for one person, won’t work for everyone. Except how we approach the game with our differences. We must work out our own swing. Books, teaching aids, and magazine articles that live on are those that help us figure out our own swing.

A couple things that are helping me figure out my swing during my Journey to Break 85 can be found in our 4 teaching bays that our Guests access as available. While these sims have the same accurate technology, they also have three video cameras that capture your swing front, back, and down the line simultaneously. Pair these with the ability to capture swing path and launch angles and you’ve got a winning combination to make your practice time much more efficient.

This week I’m viewing my swings to learn how to make sure that I sweep the club back, load my trailing side, and swing through the ball. Our cameras don’t lie.

What are you working on? Would a little video help you be accountable to what you’re working on and how well you’re doing? Give us a call and we’ll hook you up with one of our teaching bays.
