Play-a-Round Golf

“Do you play, Gladys?”

The Unsinkable Molly Brown was one of my mother-in-law’s favorite musicals. We loved to quote lines and sing the songs together at family meals. One of the frequently quoted lines came from during a social ball when Molly asks, “Do you play, Gladys?”  “Why, no.”  “What a pity!”  Do you and your family play?

Now more than ever, it’s important that we teach our children to play. Too often, the only time our children get to play is recess at school. Mom and Dad are busy with work trying to maintain the level of income, prepare meals, wash clothes, clean and repair the house, and take the children to multiple after-school activities and sports. As a result, the family rarely gets a moment – to just play together.

Golf is one of the few sports that a family can play together for life. Multiple tees and handicaps provide a framework for family members of varying skills to even compete together. Golf, however, has a number of obstacles, including the level of difficulty and the time and resources required to play.

Play-a-Round Golf is recently announced SNAG-a-Family, a new way for the whole family to learn and play the game of golf together. With SNAG: Starting New at Golf (R), you and your family can play in the yard, in the park, or on the beach.  SNAG helps you control the time as you start and stop when you like. You control the cost as you can play on a course or make up your own. It’s safe, fun, and easily transitioned to the traditional game when your family is ready. For more information about Beginner Introductions to Golf using SNAG, check out the insert in this month’s newsletter or stop by and we’ll give you a FREE demonstration.
